Well like Roudy said but we don't handle reports of just "impersonation" there is no intent to defraud anywhere in the users profile so even if you make a report here it wouldn't be valid without intent to scam also shown.
Report user to Valve instead if you want
In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accuseds profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click SUBMIT REPORT

Click here to view an animated gif that shows how to report a violation.

Once again, the general section is NOT a place for reports.

Reporting the user and putting a disclaimer on your own profile stating that's not your account are your only options since there is no clear intent to scam present.

How exactly is stating something is not yours with addition to stating the problem useless? If you are trading, etc and know of a copycat why not inform your customers of the possible threat? Sure it wont stop the person but it will encourage some people to double check or just flat out not deal with that account. Take into consideration people are not smart and are also lazy and only actually double check when they are told to.

    Your opinion is pretty useless.

Scammers will simply use the same disclaimer with their own info. If they can change it, there's no reason for it to be there, in my opinion. Seen it too many times.

Fair point, I've mainly seen the "Storage Account" disclaimer.

And that is kinda bad either way - the impersonator says the same thing to look reputable .. the only real solution (and this is my opinion only) is that Valve locks down being able to change usernames to maybe once every 6 months or something along those lines..right now you can change it over and over and over in the matter of minutes.
My opinion is just that but it would really knock down the impersonation scams which here lately are about 80%...most hate my idea cause well they like changing user names for whatever reason - I've changed mine maybe 2-3times in the last 7 years.

I see it all the time. If someone has on their profile "i have 2000 hours in this game, i have x levels on steam, whatever" the scammer will literally just copy the text, paste it on their profile, and change the numbers to whatever fits them. As you said... steam users are not always the smartest... putting a disclaimer there is useless since scammer will most likely change it anyway, and nobody would know the difference unless they knew already which the real account was.
