    What happened? Description:
    I was first contacted randomly by him, asking if I knew I had a supposed "report" of being a scammer or being a fraudulent item holder, showing me a fake screenshot with an accusation from steamrep on my profile, and from his "good will" he said he tried reaching steam support and appeal by my behalf, in which he showed a fake screenshot where steam support said to add someone impersonating Valve staff, which I did and they said to remove my mark, i was going to receive a trade offer to check if it was a suspicious item i have traded before with a scammer without me noticing. He also never replied to my answers, asking which site he was using to see that.​

    Provide Evidence:
    Here is the whole conversation i had with them with the screenshots they have edited, Sanji was the first person in contact and the other was the "valve" staff. Apologies for the swear word, he made me lose time in something I was doing.​

    Im just concern about this kind of situation because if you let this pass now, you can have penalties. and I know you've invested much of your time, effort and money in your account,that's why I sent an appeal for your account when you were offline so you can get rid of the mark and you wont get penalties

    Add him and ask him why you are tagged as scammer and what could be the possible reason of getting the mark

    A scammer can also sell in the community market, you need to be Cautious when trading or buying items

    We need to determine which item was scammed by doing a process for us to clean the item's transcript via item database system to ensure your account's safety and to avoid any penalty or getting banned

    Give me a moment to explain the process
    In this process an item database will send a PENDING OFFER and select your most traded and suspicious items to be checked. take note the database cant accept or decline offer since it was locked from trading function. No items will be deleted or traded away from your account. Database will only check its full transcript to process the result of your itemsAnd I am going to remind you: any steam user that will be proven guilty of having suspicious plans or has committed a serious misconduct, a penalty will be assessed due to irregularity and attempted fraud. Steam will track your ip address and ban you from the server itself; so don't do anything that is against the Steam Trading Policy to prevent any further issues on your account. Don't you dare take this as a joke, but note it as serious as possible. Are we clear?

    @Sanji 2 If you wish to shot proof of a hijack you will need to produce a full screenshot of your steam support ticket you made to recover the account and/or that where Valve confirms you were compromised. If you do not have that I can't help you here and we will review report as is since you are responsible for your account at all times.
    You have 72hours to provide this screenshot/evidence.

    i didn't fully lost my account, i just changed my password

    i'm gonna fully explain myself: a few days i got contacted by a friend saying that i got reported for scammer/item holder and i needed to contact someone from Steam, same method as the screenshots above, i don't know why the hell but i fell for that trick and he took control of my account (not fully, he didn't changed passwords or mail) and he was in charge of my account sending those same messages, i didn't realize the entire situation because i was logged off the account and was away busy doing IRL stuff. I was smart enough to screenshot the conversation if that helps for the case

    You lost control of it so therefore you must submit a steam support ticket and explain what happened. They must confirm it in the ticket and reset your accounts info from scratch.
    If you do not have that ticket I will be forced to complete the report and full ban tag if needed.
    Since you confirm the account was involved I'm going to issue a CAUTION till the 72hours is up or you submit what I need.

    Apologies, I completely forgot about it. Good thing that worked, seems like that's the guilty one and i get random phishing bots often on my mailbox on steam it was weird to see someone with a good profile doing it, that's why i took the effort to do the compliance, hope they answer asap, i wasn't remotely aware of the situation either.
    I did report both to Valve (and hope they don't pay attention to yours).

    Would need PC screenshots however that ticket doesn't confirm you were compromised - just confirms you changed your password.
    I suggest you ask them if that was the case before you changed it.

    got their response, they said that there was logins from other countries and since my password change there hasn't been another besides mine, that helps?

    July 5 to 8 in the morning he had control over my account, i've recovered it that same night (July 8) and inmediately cut off every access point, changed passwords and activated the "logged off of every device available" option

    luckily my Steam chat app keeps track of the messages and retrieved their profiles

    i've checked my login history and shows 2 places in the Phillippines (Bitu Sarangani and Davao in Davao del Sur)

    Since you did provide what I was after and did confirm access to the account that was not yours during that time frame I'm going to remove the caution tag.
    Please be more careful in the future with making sure to secure your account.
