Got a random add from Bluefin while in-game, Before accepting I checked his steamrep, he has a UHC Caution. He says he wants my hat and proceeds to link me his backpack via tf2b. I'm reporting this since there has been the phising glitch where the phiser can take control of the persons trade after they click the link, not sure if this is a phisher, but since he has a caution, I'll report it.

That's just a link to an item page, there's really nothing suspicious about it.

I found it suspicious what with his UHC caution and the phishing glitch going around.

ya, with the recent scams involving the exploit(that hasn't been patched) one is better safe than sorry.

I thought this worked only when in trade, not when chatting? How can he take over your items when you haven't even started a trade?

I lol'd. Bluefin is a totally legit trader and that link is just a link to his backpack on tf2b rofl..Someone is a bit paranoid.

Not so much paranoid, but more cautious.

There's a major difference between being cautious and copypasting the link into a browser window where, even if it was harmful, it wouldn't do anything, and blindly reporting someone as a scammer.

I didn't blindly report him. Like I said, with the phishing links going around I want to make sure that he was indeed legit, the caution tag didn't help either.

Actually, aside from the UHC Caution tag you have no reason to believe that I was doing anything wrong. Looks like you just assumed I was a scammer because of it. I got that tag a long time ago because I was banned from the UHC servers for a week. So they automatically tagged me with Caution for that. Back in the day people would get banned for using pans. I was banned for a week because I got scammed and then added a UHC admin trying to get back a searing snaggle. I told the admin that I would sue the guy if I could and he banned me for a week. Now that's an abuse of power. If you read my steam profile comments you will see that I am one of the most honest traders out there. I've also had my steam account since 2004.
