RoseBuddy has made contact with me this afternoon, and be the situation accidental or purposeful, he has compensated me for the said amount. I have the full chat log for any admins that wishes to read it. I will not post it here as it contains personal information for both parties involved.

I got EXTREMELY lucky he has a unique name he posted on his steam profile at some point, which I use to find his Parent's phone number. Heres wishing you good luck Deatho.

To put my final words on this. I was able to put Deatho into contact with RoseBuddy again on steam, and with the phone number to his parents. RoseBuddy claimed he had no cash left in paypal for Deatho, so they came to some sort of agreement for RoseBuddy to give his backpack in compensation for Deatho's items. The total appeared to be 300$ according to backpack.tf value.

I encouraged Deatho to update his report with this information, but he has yet to do so. As far as RoseBuddy, he claims on both incidents that paypal failed to transfer the money properly. If that be the case, I feel he should have confirmed the transfer of payment before removing us from his friends list. It felt like a scam to both me and Deatho, and apparently to the admins who tagged RoseBuddy so quickly after my report as well. I don't know what actions steamrep takes beyond tagging a person, but I felt I should update my report with the information I had in regards to RoseBuddy and Deatho.
