The user added me after seeing my trade on Outpost, offering to pay me through Paypal for my unusual. His steamrep was clean, but after doing a quick background check, I noticed he had a low number of hours in tf2, low number of friends (mostly traders), but an old account creation date. The rep on his profile consisted of four comments, one of which is from someone on trade probation while another is from a private user. I found a rep thread of his, which he didn't link to. What really sealed the deal was a pending report on Steamrep tagged as "Needs More Info" which accuses the user of a paypal scam. Concluding that this was an alt account, I didn't want to risk a paypal chargeback (even with a middleman), so I told him I'd be willing to list the item on the Steam Market at the same price and just eat the 15% loss. He rejected my offer. However, after the deal went through, he did not remove me from his friends list.

There were a lot of red flags during this trade, but I don't have enough to definitively accuse him of being a scammer. If the other report bears fruit, I'd be more certain. Photo proof provided, including the steamids of the people who +repped him for possible fake rep. (PLEASE CHECK FIRST, some of them look like legit traders who he did small deals with to build rep).

Edit: It seems as though his rep thread on Manncotrading is even more suspicious. All nine users have 3 or fewer posts. Of course, he could have just told them to make an account and post in the thread, but some of them have pretty old creation dates. To confuse things even more, all nine have varied items in their backpacks, some with unusuals, others with stranges, still others with vintages, that make it seem like they're individual legitimate traders.

Either this is a very intricate, elaborate scheme, or I'm being overly cautious. Once again, please don't just mark all these people before looking into it.

I'd hate to have my name tied to something like this without saying something about it. I didn't provide fake reputation, I was actually just defending this guy last night. We've done a couple of PP transactions and he isn't a scammer. I admit I was cautious as well when he added me, but the thought was later proved to be unnecessary because our trades were perfectly executed and no problems were present. I think your "or I'm being overly cautious" comment is an apt description of what has occurred here.

he scammed me, 100%, checked my paypal 100% times, nothing, it just sits there at 0....

That second PNG isn't appearing for me, if he did in fact scam you, I apologize for my previous statement, I was unaware of this fact because he went first with me and everything turned out fine, this is why I'm hesitant in believing you were legitimately scammed

he did, 1 day has gone an i still havent got any money om my paypal, and he isnt contacting me and answering my friend requests
