Found this guy searching for someone who was buying buds on TF2 Outpost. I'm a very inexperienced trader so I accepted the offer of my buds for his money. He asked for my information, which I provided in steamchat. He told me he sent the money and I gave him my buds, in return he gave me a key as 'insurance'. I fell asleep soon after while waiting, and when I woke in the morning the scammer blocked me off steam, changed his name multiple times to possibly hide his identity and flat out refused to acknowledge me in any ways. He continued to say he doesn't know me and that he's not the same person, even though his id number is the same and his custom URL bears the same name as the name he had when we traded (You can see in the trade/Chat picture)


I lost the transcript of the chat, my computer died in the night.

I'm not seeking justice, just a warning for other inexperienced traders like myself.

Hey mods, I'd like to help out with this report. This guy tried a few times to run his scam over on me (dummy didnt notice I happened to change my name between those two times.)

Initially, he added me on this trade here http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14884404. I talked to him about selling him buds, but he refused in any way to go first, and when I brought up using a middleman, he said because he "has been scammed before using a middleman" that he would not use one, even from SteamRep's trusted middlemen. On his profile in the past, he talks of his "experience" with middlemen http://i.imgur.com/6Yg6Lqq.png and why he won't trade with them.

He often changes his steam name and profile picture as well. A long time ago, his name was "Zaxon (CZ)" and a picture of a spy. Then he changed it to a picture of L4D Bill and his name was "Da Rogue [CZ] http://i.imgur.com/vdtA0cS.png. Currently, his name is "Dolan <" He even now has changed the link to his profile from http://steamcommunity.com/id/thedarogue/ (as the original poster also said his custom name was) to it's current http://steamcommunity.com/id/lolyousucksohard/

This trade of his http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/14877600 was open for a very short time, one user added him to sell him buds, then came back and wrote the second comment about how sketchy he was that you can see. Immediately after that post, within a half an hour, that trade was closed.

Of course, none of this is direct proof of him actually scamming someone, but I thought I should help on this report for more information. My guess is that the original poster's proof and my own proof may not be quite enough to give him a scammer tag (I hope it is enough but I don't know your guys's policy) but I think he definitely needs some sort of warning tag.

Ditto I unfortunatly got scammed out of a unusual from him but i will also add to this thread and hopefully he gets trade banned.

He said he would give me 50$ via paypal but dint.

This person has also scammed others on Outpost it seems, as they have been repeatedly been making Cash trades and haven't seemed to have lost anything, only gaining. When I confronted the user through an add, he just laughed and mocked me, then removed me, not denying his actions. He has also been trade banned by Valve recently, not sure if that affects anything at all.

He is now on Ban Probation and trading on Outpost again. How is this guy not marked yet? :v
