What happened? Description:

The scammer messaged me about buying my buds/keys (2 buds, 6 keys). Said they'd go first, account looked okay. After they sent it, they said they couldn't trade for 7 days, and asked that I send it to their friend. The payment looked like it was sent correctly (to friends/family, with a not saying they would not chargeback). But they still charged back immediately after, and I'm out my buds/keys and the $$$.​

Sadly, I can verify this. This person just scammed me on a Max's head. Chargedback. I tracked it to a new owner via the TF2outpost item history. Probably the main account? http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/17985442

Making another report

this id def. a hijacked account, and using fake middleman, also trying to do paypal chargeback crap

If you used Paypal, call them tell them it was for virtual items. They should help you out.

PayPal does not verify virtual items, and because of that, you are not protected by the seller protection. (aka paypal pays you what you lost)

To all who have been scammed, please make your own, separate report rather than posting here.

I can also add to this, he...um...they tried to get keys and unusual from me too. First a guy added me who didn't have any reports nor anything, google wasn't my friend, but then all of a sudden when we were about to trade the 7day steam guard kicked in. Some other fella added me so I checked him out and found this. Filing an own report with both accounts and so on...

For some reason I can't post scammer reports here so here's my report on LZ.

Since the chat log is missing, there is a lot of crucial information missing. Best I can do is mark as a caution for now, thanks.
