Attempted Scam Questions?

Ok so i think someone TRIED to scam me recently. I know i can they acn get tagged on steamrep, but can they get trade banned for this?​

If they truly tried to scam you and if you report it to steam support, then yes they can get trade banned.

Who tried to scam you and how?

Should you just post all the evidence through the report system? It seems so weird to report someone and never get a response or something

It is unfortunate to not get responses and we are not denying this.

However this is the method that Valve/Steam prefers. Which from a staffing/work load view it does make sense. Less resources/time spent responding the more time spent dealing with the accounts.

We will just have to see how long they keep this policy or if they will get enough complaints to revise it.

I still use the direct steam support method, they haven't told me yet to just use the flag system(which doesn't even seem to trade ban them from my expirence)

they will not tell you personally, they just change the POLICY articles....

So just to clarify, we are not allowed to report Trade Scam Attempts on Steamrep forums, only successful scams? If it is an unsuccessful attempt, the only thing to do is report through Steam directly?
