hey guys (or gals if you are one),

im stuck in a situation and am looking for some general advice. i recently offered and got an unusual hat from a friend. after that, two (2) people added me and wanted me to give them the hat. i asked why and they accused my friend of sharking one of them for it. i removed them from my friends list but one of them (the supposed shark victim) kept adding me. i then reported them for harassment and blocked them to get them to leave me alone because i felt i had no business in whatever i had missed. the other person then proceeded to give me threats of me being reported and trade banned because i bought the hat from my friend. i used tf2outpost to put the new hat up for sale and it doesnt show any history of the supposed victim ever having it. that makes me very suspicious of a possible scam but it seems to have gotten serious and i dont understand what exactly ive done to these two fellow traders to make them angry at me.

    the questions being?
1.) do you think i have some part in this?
2.) if i do then am i in a position of possible banning?
3.) if my friend did shark them and i bought it from him/her and i have it, do i have to give it to them?
4.) whats your opinion on this in general? (be brutal if you have to, im looking for all opinions)

note: i know i use commas and periods without using capitalization or apostrophes.

This is a very common scamming technique. I'd recommend you to NOT give away the hat.

If you traded fairly for the unusual, then its yours. You cannot help it that a previous owner has sharked it. As for your questions:

    1. If your story is true (buying it fair from somebody), then no.
    2. Nope, valve has the definition of "buyers remorse" and they arent reversing trades in that aspect.
    3. Nope, you don't have to give it back.
    4. Standard shark problems.
Unless he scammed them, but then it starts to depend on whom you traded it from.
