Summary:

Known scammer with a private profile contacted me to scam me out of an earbud. Knowing that he was a scammer, I told him that I was thankful he was buying my earbud because my daughter had cancer and I needed to pay for her medicine. Deceitful? Yes. But, the scammer admitted the scam and aborted the deal, showing that he had at least some kind of a conscience. I left him with some words, hoping that he'd change his ways, but I doubt it.

That was a clever thing that you pulled off there. The scammer has already committed a lot of offenses as seen in his steamrep database and i also believe he will not stop after seeing the chat screenshot.
