What happened? Description:

This person added me offering 6.2 buds in keys for my Misty Skull Armoured Authority. She then told me to middleman my hat to y friend's account. Turn out, he has Steam Guard preventing him to trade, I don't tell the scammer this yet because she invites me to a chat where an impersonator of my friend trades me and tries to get my unusual.I took only one photo because he exited fast. Me and my friend then proceeded to confront her until she left the chat.​

Actually, he wasn't impersonating a SR MM. What h

e was doing was talking to my friend on Steam, asking him to hold my hat until he can buy the keys. What happened is that he made an alt where he copied my friend's profile and name to try and trick me into giving it to his alt. Luckily, my friend told me he had Steam Guard blocking his trades for seven days, so I knew the person trading me was an imposter. It was all a ploy to get me to trade it his alt so he can get away. Luckily, I saw a period at the end of his name and knew he was fake.

I realize that he was trying to get your hat utilizing a fake profile, do you have the SR info block for that fake profile?

I couldn't get it in time. I only noticed the fake name, and he cancelled the trade and the alt left the chat immediately.

This happened to me too, by the same user today. I then asked my other friend what the hell was going on, and that was it.

76561198135339976 is his SR, He already got banned. DK.iceice is trade banned, so that is why they have a "friend" take your unusuals.
