What happened? Description:

I got middleman scammed out of my Minimal Wear Flip Knife Fade. Some guy added me and said that he would get me a Well-worn Karambit Blue Steel for my flip knife, but that he was un-sure over that I could be trusted. He said that I should give my knife to a friend of mine that could middleman, so I recomended my friend WatermelonRichard. (http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198029901647/)
He created a fake account of him extreamly quickly and impersonated him. I gave my flip knife to him and boom, he went offline.​

That was the guy I traded with. The other guy is the guy that contacted me. I know that they did a lazy job, but I was the one who was stupid and fell for it. Now do your magic and ban these a✿✿✿✿✿✿s!​

I just had him add me. He attempted to do the same thing to me for ~$850 in TF2 items. I found this thread, and his BP.tf ban so I obviously didn't do it. But definitely a scammer.

He created a fake account based on a friends name to try to get my items.

The exact same thing happened to me and it seems to be happening to many other people. This is my thread http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/report-76561198135329434-tf2-team-fortress-2-items.69901/ I know exactly what he's doing and its clever and I hope that valve can find a way of stopping this type of scam, not just these people.
