What happened? Description:

This guy add me for 2 copies of gauntlet, we take the accord for payment.... he say he have sent the money and write in chat the text from paypal: you have sent €14,40 EUR to [email protected].
This noob dont know when he sent the money paypal say my name and surname, not my mail, anyway i havent recived nothing from he. At finally he goes offline and rep me in steamtrades​

Provide Evidence:

U can easy check his text message in chat, and u can check are 2 days i dont recived payments​

This is false, as I'd pasted the entire message sans my own name. As I indicated, I wanted to wait for him to confirm the money was in his balance before proceeding with the trade, which means it's impossible for me to "scam" him using any PayPal method. I checked the PayPal transaction which had been "put on hold" by PayPal. Afterwards, I've cancelled payment after this person threatened immediate report because the money didn't transfer instantly.

The problem is: if u cancel a payment it is write anyway iin my payment moviment....but it isnt....and when u have sent the money little tard, (you have sent €14,40 EUR to [email protected].) paypal dont write the mail but name and surname....enjoy your ban....tard

Ps: sopme times pèaypal take time for change the transation in the history, but they send istant any time 1 mail to advertise me i have recived payment

No, it quite uses your e-mail address as I'm sending to someone who isn't in my address list─it therefore verifies the address I've sent it to rather than the name. I'm not even sure how you expect PayPal to provide your name from the e-mail address; providing a name from an e-mail alone would allow identity theft through sending 1 cent payments through PayPal and fish for name/surname.

As evidence of my claims I've attached the e-mail PayPal sent me to verify I paid the amount requested.

I checked my PayPal information and it says your account is "Unregistered", which implies either you never verified your account, or it's on Paypal's end rather than mine. In any case, accusations of "scam" are made too quickly when, again, I indicated I wanted you to tell me when you'd received the funds. Had nothing occurred after an hour, I would've investigated, but you were rather quick to jump to conclusions and harass people on my friend list about an alleged scam. As far as I was aware, I had done my end of the deal perfectly and sent the money. That the money had not arrived within 10 minutes is no indication of scam. Accusing me of using a "Paypal method" to scam is baseless, as 5 minutes of investigation on these boards tell me that's either sending an invoice (I did not) or issuing a chargeback after the items were received (I never received any items nor initiated a trade from my side, and would not chargeback).

What you're saying is that I attempted to scam by doing nothing whatsoever and expecting items to fall into my lap, but not without first requesting you to double-check that everything went through right. That's ludicrous.

In all, I had hoped to purchase a game at a nice price, but instead get a nasty experience with impatience and swift accusations, accompanied by harassment of my friends. If anything, your behaviour has been exceedingly poor and uncooperative.

@Mockra , I need a picture of your all activity screen from Paypal. Unedited in a full screen browser.

Actually, I misunderstood. Attached the all activity screen requested. As the bank payment hasn't gone through, my balance reveals 0,00. I've expanded the transaction in question to show PayPal has placed a hold on the funds until the bank transfer goes through; I suspect the time of day makes it take longer.

i already do it, my pyapal is verified and i have try now to send 1 usd to my friend, the mail i have recived is in some part different to your...but the admin can check it for his self. How u can see im in steam from 5 more years, i fgot more 650 +rep in profile, 188 in steam trades, there are evidence proof i already traded games for 62 euro each for paypal.And never i have scam some 1. U are a damn nigga scammer. this is last answer to your useless scam thing.

If you check the chat logs you posted, you give the e-mail address as "[email protected]". Since your Steam username is Ludovic, I decided to run some Google checks. I came across this site: http://blogcanada.ca/blogcanada/?p=45

I'm going to point out that the e-mail addresses differ. Did you misspell your own e-mail address in your communique to me?

So as the OP has indicated this was all a gross misunderstanding, and I was seeing later reports being handled (and promptly ignored), I wonder if it wouldn't be too much effort to flag this one as resolved?

Hi, I was just reminded this exists because someone wanted me to confirm I didn't scam anyone. It'd be sure nice if someone could flag this as resolved as per antani's confirmed this was all nothing more than a misunderstanding and typo.
