Return of scammed items

Do people ever get their items back?

only if the scammer or some "white knight" decides to return the items for whatever reason.

The general answer would be no. Steam Support also never restores scammed items.

I just don't understand why people steal from others... =\

The only ways to get repayment (items back):
- If you where hijacked: 1 time steam support gesture. If hijacked again: sorry.
- If offender appeals here: part of the appeal requirements is repayment to victims (the offenses SR knows of)

And thieves are indeed everywhere, including in games.

As for your usage of the "GFYS" acronym: locking the topic. Horse may not be the nicest person around, but he does tell ppl the truth, esp the ones they don't like.
