What happened? Description:

Basically, This guy commented (ID: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198154329928) commented "Hey, I've been playing a lot of TF2 lately, and was wondering if this was a good unbox, [link]". His name was system32. He deleted the comment after my items started disappearing. System32 was Green Lantern (or at least I'm guessing). When I downloaded the "screen saver", I started playing TF2 (I was checking out some maps for inspiration for a map that I'm making) and I noticed nothing was on my soldier, I checked if I had connection to the item server, I did. That's when it hit me that I had just been phished. I stopped everything I was doing and made this report. I was in Skype with one of my friends. Add him if you want some more proof. . This is the link to his profile: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198045492579/ . I have not heard of this way of phishing, so I was completely oblivious.​

Alright, I realized those trades I didn't do pictures were whack, here on some new ones with actual proof. Plus some comments of the phishing link

Read the above post, you need to submit a ticket to steam support to get your items back. SR no longer tags phishers.

Change your steam password if you haven't already and do a full virus scan. No point in leaving the door open.

If it means anything, this story seems credible: there was a huge jump in the backpack.tf value of the accused's inventory.

You can, however, report the user directly to Valve using the Report Violation feature on the other user's profile. To do so:

1. Visit the accused's profile
2. Click More drop-down located at the top right of the page
3. Choose Report Violation
4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
5. Click Submit Report
