    Scam Report

Report Type: [Money] PayPal scam or scam attempt
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198061076257

    Victim profile: 76561198096952959

    What happened? Description:
Well this guy's friend http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197998857616/ approached me saying his friend wanted to trade, screenshot of chatlog in evidence. Well so i said yes and the accused added me. He then offered to use paypal to pay for my m4 asiimov BS, Desert Eagle meteorie, ak case hardened and awp redline.

I was the one who offered the prices ( market price) so it went well, i didnt get to suspect that it was going to be a scam. Then he sent an invoice on paypal, which i thought it was some paypal's bug and he left a note which again i thought it was something paypal made. But it was all fake. In his attempt, he tried to scam me a second time, but i wanted to wait till the transaction passed and his chats became a little suspicious.

Thinking he was a friend of someone on my friend list, i sort of lowerd by guard, although i still hesitated during the trade, unfortunately the chat log is lost since i closed it after the trade. Then only, i realize his scam attempt after checking steamrep

I really really hope steam support can help we, the victims in recovering our items since i noticed there was another guy scammed for his galil cerebus, also there were two archived reports about the scammer which strengthens his method of scamming.

    Provide Evidence:
    Evidence of the scammer's friend

His paypal "invoice" trying to mislead people that he paid you

His inventory, with the latest 4 of my items

    Evidence of second attempt

I could not get his first scam evidence the chat log since i closed the chat, still believing the guy, but im positive the rest of the evidence (check time on trade history to prove there was a first scam) basically shows them all :(

Besides that, the so called "friend" is suspicious too, if steam could trace down its IP to check if it is the same with the accused, they might be the same person

This "$0L!D V@P0UR" is absolutely a scammer. I invite to all the community or people who is reading this to report him, here is his steam profile:
    http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198061076257

Also, he is scamming a lot of people, but they usually don't report him on SteamRep. If you have any doubt yet, you can also check my report. This "$0L!D V@P0UR" is a famous scammer.

Yes actually there was alot more being said, first he offered to buy four of the items, and the second deal was to buy another 3 of my most valuable items, then lastly is this chat where he wanted to buy all of my inventory. it was a long chat and i closed the chat while i hadnt get suspicious with him and therefore only the last deal was recovered since there is no chat log. But with the previous 3 reports, dont tell me you still wont believe that this guy is a scammer? also as i mentioned, the $44 he agreed to pay was exactly the market price for four of the items i have lost.

I dont see any justice in this if you let him getaway since i have provided almost 80% of the evidence, the only missing is the chat log since it can not be recovered. But the point is, he sent a paypal, i sent my items, This is the prove of our trade agreement.

This is considered as an oral contract since the written is lost, but there is consideration given with the evidence of the paypal and the trade history. But him, faking a pay on paypal is a breach of contract. I strongly urge you guys to bring justice upon this guy. PLEASE

It doesn't matter what I believe. What matters is what I can prove. An "oral contract" is a trade agreement, but as far as proof is concerned it's only your word against his.

Unfortunately, given that we define a scam as a breach of trade agreement, proof of said agreement is one of the most crucial parts of any report.

I guess sucks to be me then, so he stole my items legally. So what about the only thing i have, does that consider as an attempted scam?

Okay, i dont mind if my report fail, but at least take this as a prove that helps in making decisions for the case :
    http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/...-counter-strike-global-offensive-items.78150/

Since he has the chat log, the only thing i didnt have and take action against the guy. Stop the guy from doing these things anymore, i believe me and bargol were not the only victim in this case, i tried my best gathering all the evidence possible but it seems justice isnt on my side.

I understand that you guys have plenty of reports to review, and i thank you for spending time on mine. That $44 i lost would be a valuable lesson to me but i hope our reports help prevent the other players from being scammed. Therefore i would still like to urge that SteamRep would take action against the guy ASAP regarding the case mentioned above

Took some effort to lure him into replying my steam messages, not sure if this is enough, but from the chat he acknowledges about the paypal fake payment, and now he also acknowledge that i have not been payed yet, doesnt that forms the previous trade agreement?

Proof of the trade agreement is crucial. You have some indication that there was an agreement, but because we can't match this report with your specific agreement (X for Y) this is not sufficient evidence for a tag. I'm sorry, but I have to archive this report.
