Can having an alt get you marked?

    Sometimes when I'm on steamrep, I see someones banned and the reason is just alts. Does this mean they were a scammer who had alts? Or does it mean they just had alts. Because I made an alt in case I get hijacked and I'm not a scammer. I just want to know to play it safe. Thanks!

    many people have alt accounts. That is not a problem. When we ban someone, we look for those people's alt accounts, and ban those too, referring to their main account as being a alt of that. (ps: main as in: reported to us)
