I've just experienced the lost of 2 unusual courier with 13 keys with this guy. This guy is really smart. He offered cash in purchasing ur unusual couriers. Next, he will offer you to use a middleman which can be your friend. After that, he will asked to bring up your own friend to the chat. After bringing up ur friend he will be afk for few minutes. While in the few minutes, he did copy all your friend details and even put the same image as my friend does. I think i've added both of his ID without realising. 'I am a trader, traders do keep some other traders on thier friendlist even a trade is done.' So, while trading with him, he will used the ID that he had modified, and invite me to trade. It's obvious that, i see it was my friend (as the name and Pictures are the same0, who i intro to him as a middle man. i just trade those item without realising it was a fake ID. Anyway, i realised after my friend told me that pass few days he dont have any slot for items. And i go check his inventory, and the items was not in his inventory. then i go search 'Add a friend' and i realised that this ID:http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198009755249 just have the same name as my friend and just changed awhie ago and the time he last log in is just awhile ago while the trade been made. As in used this id to accept the items.
Anyway, this is a good lesson for me and i don't really hope any of u guys fall into this.
Hopefully action such as ip address could be trade. or inventory transaction from 1 id to another can be checked. and hopefully action will be taken because the ID have more than 40 over games which are costly i think.

Do you happen to have screenshots of the profile that was impersonating your friend as well as the conversation between you and the accused?

Sorry for that, i usually close every chat of mine after i replying it. So i dont have the screenshot of the chat. But is there any other way to track the item? cause i was told by one of the dota2player that, every items have thier own unique code, and it can be tracked.

There's nothing off the top of my head that allows tracking of dota items (currently). The only possible way I can think of is searching for it on outpost. However, this is extremely difficult without a starting point (i.e. the person it was originally traded to). Unfortunately, without proper screenshot evidence, there isn't much an admin can do .

Awww.. but this scammer should take a lesson from it though. if seriously no action could be taken. then i will take it as i donate my items to the poor f✿✿✿✿✿✿ guy who cant even afford to buy it. Thanks anyway. appreciate ur replies.
