At the time of buying it there was no filed reports and therw wasn't any way i would believe he scammed it. The had claimed he purchased it for 3 buds from the previous owner and I didn't really have any reason not to be believe him. I believe that my claim seems to be sketchy but its the honest truth. :(

And the ban on outpost was not caused by supposivly buying off of scammers but instead for being persistently rude to a user

I'm referring to the scammer alt's outpost ban. Couldn't have been more of a obvious alt. Even if you don't trade you don't tend to only be friends with a marked user.

Riruka, I hate it to happen to you, but you bought from the MOST obvious scammer alt. You didn't listen to us (http://i.imgur.com/c9nqOjh.png) and you're getting what you sadly deserve. No pity here now.

When five people on a forum based around trading tell you it's probably scammed, you should probably take their word over the guy who is probably trying to offload the merch.

    Just saying.

I'm not one to talk, but maybe I am. As a person who was banned from outpost for this very same reason, and has since retired from trading, I can assert that it is easy to make a trade without doing a background check on the trader. This doesn't excuse riruka, not in any way, I have no way of knowing his guilt, but it's very possible he didn't intend to trade with scammers.
    Like me.

He asked 5 people before asking if he should do the trade. Multiple people said not to do it because he was a scammer alt yet he still went through with the trade. His intention could not be any more obvious.

The thought process would be ridiculous otherwise.

"Huh, these five guys on this site who have knowledge on Unusual trading (and therefore ALSO scammers and such) are telling me the trader is probably a bad dude.
NAAAAH, they can't be right, this guy is telling me he bought it for three (or was it five) buds! Those five guys didn't know what they were talking about."

Fact, most scammers will deny they're a scammer in the process of trying to do scammer-related things.

Fact, you pushed the button, you're going to have to deal with the consequences. That's a part of life.

Yeah, if he had that much time to think and information accessible, this is no one's fault but his own.

When the people you thought you could trust are at piling up on you trying to get you banned, it wouldn't seem in any way farfetched to believe that the people you could be dealing with only said that the items were scammed to take it themselves. Especially knowing what some people can sometimes be like on the forums. Of course i dont mean for this statement to be offensive in any way but only to give a reason for my suspicions

so if i robbed a store and got away with it, and sold off the items i stole, they weren't really stolen?

Are you implying that multiple people on the forums claimed the hat was scammed FOR THE SOLE REASON of taking it for themselves? No. That doesn't happen. They told you it was scammed because they were looking out for you, and you ignored their advice.

Because you did a bad thing. There is no pedestal high enough to escape the banhammer (example: Google and his tons of trading rep, running off with unusuals and gloating. Not bringing him up again because he seems to like the attention.)

It's upsetting, yeah. But don't start thinking that we're the bad guys.

Don't forget, a similar thing happened with Cranwell.

He asked the bp.tf forums wether he should do a trade, people said it was a scammer/scammer alt, and he bought it anyway (off the scm).

The supposed proof that damned cranwell was very dubious, though, and the proof damning riruka is very legitimate and obvious that he knew. Cranwell's trade could have occurred before he ever checked back on the forums to hear the forum's opinion on his purchase, but riruka's had a larger time frame. It is doubtful riruka did not read the comments about the scam in his status before executing the trade.

Riruka, as much as I think that there should be a way to retribute scammed/stolen items, you did contribute to a scamming act.

Riruka, you have MUCH more experience with Unusuals than I do. And even I said "don't take the attrib_particle86 Tartan Tyrolean". You should've seen it coming from a mile away that this was gonna happen.

I remember this, you tried to evade many people telling you it was scammed and someone even pointed out why you were trying to. Your reply to it was ":c". Seriously. Idgaf if I'm a scammer but you get what you get. Deal with it, you knew. In over 3+ status updates you were told not to each time trying to change the topic.

    Say your last good byes.

Google, you are in no position at ALL to be talking. Unlike you i didn't scam a cent and i didn't even know that the hat was scammed. Unlike you i don't make the cowardly move of telling the people who accused you that you were "hacked". Your pathetic if you think you are in any right to dare criticize me...
First off, i had in no way of knowing that the item had been scammed. The backpack.tf users may have told me that they were HOWEVER without any proof. The only post i had seen before taking the deal was http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/statuses/user/8977-pinkiepie/?status_id=95017. At the time of the trade he had no approved steam rep, outpost, or backpack.tf reports at all. When i traded with him he even had claimed he bought it for 4 buds and in no way scammed it. Now that i see how the people you thought you could trust now turn on you how would i trust them at all? Not only this, but never before have i been involved nor have commited any purchasing of a scammed item. I had no way to tell if it was scammed or not.
