What happened? Description:

Well, its quite the long story. I have been trying to sell my butterfly fade for a few days and posted it on csgolounge.com(note that i have never done a trade and got my knife from a lockbox). Well yesterday (9/11) he added me on steam. We talked for a while about trust and i check his steamrep and profile and it all seemed good. Except for some reports a few months ago that are still under investigation for some reason. So, we talked a bit and he offered 450 $ on paypal for the knife, but i had to go first. i was a bit nervous after looking at the steamreps reports so after some talking(him mostly) about trust etc. I decided i wanted a middleman just in case. After i requested the middleman he started talking even more about trust and that it wasnt worth it for him to scam me because of his reputation etc(still avoiding my middleman request).

So he offered another solution.
He would talk with a irl friend of mine so that he could hold on to the knife while he transfered money. We talked to my friend in group chat and then i suddenly got a trade request from my "friend" so he could hold on to it. I smelled something fishy so i asked my friend if he offered a trade and i checked the aliases of my "friend" and guess what? my real friend never requested a trade and some other guy had renamed to get me to trade the knife away.

After this it was 100% clear he was trying to scam me and i called him out. Right after that he went offline without saying a word.

I really hope this guy can finally get banned. This kind of person is the lowest of the low going after new traders with little experience. Just look at his steam profile, SO much effort put into this scam. Cant imagine how many people got fooled by him.​

Provide Evidence:

Shitloads of steam chat where he is trying to convince me to trust him.

Unfortenatly i dont think it's possible to check unfinished steam trades so i dont have a screenshot of that.

If you need anything more i will try provide the evidence as best i can.​

The account called "Trading Bot" was the same person that had the knife of a former victim.

Yet another scammer thinks he can just "talk it off" in his report.
