What happened? Description:

I will first start off by presenting all the accounts in which I believe are relevant to my situation, multiple

numbered screenshots in which I will explain their relevance and identifying the different individuals.

From what I can determine and the way they speak and do not refer to their Steam Nicknames, they

know each other in real life.

Dreadric – Main Account of MonkE also known as Jordan

NiP Get-Sw$GG – Also known as BlackObama(I know this because we played a couple CS:GO matches

together) and Matt (Screenshot 10 - 1:30PM)

MonkE (Screenshot 1) – Accused user and responsible of the scam. Alternate account of Dreadric and

perhaps BlackObama (Screenshot 10 - 1:37PM). Profile name says Jordan however.

Womb Raider – Knows Dreadric and BlackObama in real life and also known as Shane (Screenshot 11)

pL.biceps - Account that my items were traded to, BlackObama was named this for a short period

Screenshot 12 – Shows them communicating using their real names and the fact that they do know each

other in real life.

Screenshot 10 – 1:36PM, BlackObama states his friends are Jordan(Dreadric) and Shane(Womb Raider)

Detailed Explanation of the Whole Situation in Order

I gave my CS:GO items Monke(Deadric’s ALT) on the 2nd of November 2014 (Screenshot 2) in goodwill

that he test them out and stated that he would give them back. On the 8th of November 2014, he stated

that his account got hijacked and claimed that he clicked a link and a virus automatically sent a Trade

Offer to the other ‘scammer’ (Screenshots 7-9). At the time, I believed his story and so I got him to take

a screenshot of his Inventory History (Screenshot 18). I questioned him further and later, his speech

implied that he in fact did scam me (Screenshots 5-7). I then contacted his Main account(Dreadric) still

believing his story and he mentioned that he got hijacked and believed a keylogger retrieved his

password when he went to an internet cafe earlier(I believe this is not true at all now). As this was the

case, he implied that I was talking to a hijacker the whole time, as in, I was talking to a hijacker when

speaking with his alternate account (Monke). Unfortunately, I do not have chat logs for this as I believed

him, but later came to the conclusion that he was playing all along and that I was getting close to

confronting him. This was late at night, but the next morning, I realised they were both off my friends

list and Dreadric had blocked me (Screenshot 15).

Later, my friend and I decided to add some of his friends(His main account blocked me) to perhaps

figure out what the real story is and maybe sort a deal to get my items back(You never know). I added

BlackObama and I believed he was getting instructions from Dreadric of what to say and how to make

me believe he was innocent (Screenshot 15 - 1:54PM). I already knew what was going on as they are

close to each other, but I still continued to ask around. I asked what happened, getting more stories and

told me the one that Dreadric’s ALT told me. He said, Dreadric clicked on a link (Screenshot 16 -

2:06PM). At this point, I was certain that Dreadric’s ALT was not hijacked and that they were all in on the

scam. In addition, I added Womb Raider previously and see his side of the story. He mentioned that he

did not know him in real life however (Screenshot 19 - 12:20PM), but I knew he was lying as I gathered

the fact that they did very well know each other. Later on, he said the same thing (Screenshot 17 -

12:28PM). A couple days after, I finally came into contact of pL*biceps (account linked to me) and his

main account (Screenshot 20). He confirmed that he did not know any of the scammers (Screenshot 20 -

4:34PM) and he had no idea. He stated that pL*biceps was his alternate account (Screenshot 21 -

4:38PM), but to confirm it, I requested for him to get on the account. He went on his ALT very shortly. I

requested an Inventory History Screenshot (Screenshot 26) during 8th of November and discovered no

trade receiving of my knife. It was rather in fact, my knife was traded from Dreadric’s ALT(Monke) to

BlackObama’s account that was temporarily renamed to pL*biceps (Screenshot 27) to give the

impression that my items were on another user’s account.

My Conclusion

Monke is Dreadric’s alternate account, but also stated that BlackObama uses it as well. Since Monke is

the untrustworthy one and the fact that Dreadric and BlackObama are linked together, they all are

untrustworthy. The items were traded to an account called pL*biceps, in which I have determined was

BlackObama’s account (One of Dreadric’s close friends). I checked name history as mentioned previously

and found it very suspicious that BlackObama’s name was also pl*biceps. I have the thought that the

items were traded to his friend’s account, BlackObama, where he changed his name temporarily(for 15

minutes(during the time I was talking to Monke and told him to take a screenshot)) in order to blame

another person and state that his account got hijacked. Most definitely, Monke, Dreadric and

BlackObama should result in a SteamRep ban and endure the consequences for lying, being dishonest,

taking over $80 worth of items and using both mine and the SteamRep team’s time to take corrective

action. Although no items were promised directly, they promised to give the items back, but failed to do

so. A ban or at least a caution should be labelled on the users in order for other users trading to consider

the fact that they are not trusted in the community. BlackObama was impersonating another user to

frame the incident on another person and Dreadric’s ALT was the user that lied and actually took away

my items permanently. As mentioned previously, BlackObama’s account, Dreadric’s account and their

mains should be banned.

information I find.

I have also briefly described the situation to the Bazaar.tf admin, buddapest and he said that this should

be okay.​
