Questions regarding FoG's mass 330 user marking

So earlier today FoG banned 330 users for being a part of a public group called "Dota2Lounge Middleman" It is a fake middleman group that is public, so anyone can join at any time.

It would make sense for me to ban all the admins/moderators and users who have supplied fake +reps onto the group's profile page, but that wasn't the case. All members were banned and are having their FoG tag appeals rejected for being involved in an impersonation, scamming group, yet it's quite many of these users either received invites and accepted them, thinking the group was legitimate, or joined hoping to find a legitimate middleman.

I had a conversation with No:name where he said they decided to mark everyone because many of the accounts "looked shady" (conversation attached)


Could SR weigh in on this and give their opinion on the situation, I just want some clarification how this can be fair that so many users, most of them 100% innocent of any wrong doing, can be stuck with permanent scammer tags.

I'm sure more ban appeals will come as well.

For something like this, would this be a situation where SR would step in, because this is clearly ridiculous to me. I may not have done a ton of research but I really think this is kind of unreasonable.

As far as the screenshot, that's one guy. I doubt that too many others have more than 2-3 alts.

Also, expect a lot of appeals from people that should be going to FoG here over the next few days.

Those appeals were accepted recently, anyways some more on this topic: I personally will be gathering evidence of why the members that have tags are currently banned.

Also on the topic of appeals the majority of users have been untagged.

2nd URL has http://puu.sh/dhV9A/9cf4dbe5ac.png and Nex had a comment on his SR page that said "appeal denied"

Taco isn't a trade admin and isn't able to handle reports/appeals
