What happened? Description:

I put up a trade for my awp redline minimal wear with 4 stickers on csgo lounge. Shortly after, I received a friend request from [EA] PurpleElephant. We started talking and he offered a trade for my redline, a 20$ steam gift card. I said it was sketchy but he offered to grab a middleman for this deal and I agreed. After more talking, we decided to start with the trade.

The middleman (which is BioC https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?url=http://csgolounge.com/profile?id=76561198112169820 ) sent me a trade offer and i gave him the awp, in group chat he said he recieved it. After that, purpleElephant sent me a steam message saying lolololol and I posted in group chat saying ok... well, I can say i didnt get it and copy and pasted it, I then proceeded to get kicked. I went to bioc's inventory and saw it was still there so messaged him saying uhm.. really? and offered a trade twice but it said he was in a trade already. After he gave the awp to him he messaged me and all and said he thought i received the code and stuff like that.

I'm not too sure if bioc was in on this because I told him i didnt get it but he still gave it away, and [EA] PurpleElephant still has him on his friends list and BioC has Purples old account on his friends list and he even +repped him saying this (BioC 27 Nov @ 12:38pm
Awesome Trader, don't worry bout the VAC Ban, he's really legit) but he offered to help me and said he thought i got the code and such. Purple unfriended me and currently has my awp in his inventory. [EA] PurpleElephant also used to have another account which he scammed on which got vac banned and trade banned which is called [EA] Lavendar Elephant http://steamcommunity.com/id/scrap2unusual. I have multiple screenshots for evidence too.​

he is a scammer, i have him friended and he admitted it to me now if someone could tell me how to take a screenshot that would be great

After talking and getting my guts up, I repayed the victim. He and I will be uploading screenshots of me saying I will never scam again and me repaying him.

Ok so after a while the culprit PurpleElephant unblocked me, added me, and admitted to everything he did. He apologized to me and promised he won't scam anyone again, and he repayed me full price for the awp I lost. I would like to disregard this post and have no actions done upon him. Thanks

Can someone archive the report?

He may have eventually paid, but he still scammed. Most likely he simply wanted to pay off the scam report to keep his name clear even when he did scam someone, possibly others.

I swear I will never scam again, if I even get 1 more steamrep report, you guys can ban me. Please archive the report as I would like to trade with peace.

You can PM an admin on the forums here and ask for it to be archived.

Or the staff may decide to review the report anyways, all depends.

This person has many other open reports against him for the same offence. This will still be looked at as a scam because he openly admits to scamming.
