What happened? Description:

All of this started when a good friend of mine, Brendan (aka ブタマスク大佐), had unboxed a Death at Dusk Hong Kong Cone. He wanted to sell it for paypal and pure in order to buy some video game collectibles. He was new to the TF2 trading scene, so he asked me for a price to start at, so I told him 36 earbuds. Soon after, without telling me, Brendan traded Net his Hong Kong Cone for Net's Virtual Viewfinder. Brendan told me about this, but I was a little unsure based on how quickly Net added Brendan for the trade. When Net traded with Brendan, Net demanded about a bud of overpay, and Brendan complied. Brendan entrusted me to sell his newly acquired Virtual Viewfinder, so I started offering it to some people on TF2 outpost. After offering it to one person, they informed me that Net had gotten the Viewfinder by sharking a very new trader, by a margin of nearly 40 buds at the time, when the lowest price for the Viewfinder was 50 buds. He later went on to say that the other owner wanted 70 earbuds, but he only paid "Kill a watt Muffs , Terror watt Cowl , 3 earbuds.". When Net listed the Cone, he had said that the original owner, Brendan, was offered 50 buds, which is not true. I added him to try and negotiate to get the Cone back for Brendan, even offering to let Net keep the ~1 bud overpay, but he refused, and said that Brendan only wanted 30 buds for the Cone, and that the original owner of the viewfinder asked for 50 buds. He even admitted to scamming in his trade notes, where he said "UPDATE: Yesterday, the previous owner told me " I got scammed yours hats. " So for that reason him doesnt have nothing."

The closest scam type I could find was item misrepresentation, as he blatantly lies about the price of each hat several times, each time changing it.

This is a case of double sharking, the original owner, and then Brendan​

I support this thread 100%. I notified outpost mods and admins and they wouldn't do anything because "it'd only count as sharking if net made over 100 buds" (ridiculous). Net sharked the view finder originally and then sharked again in the trade after that. Something really needs to be done about this obvious clear-cut sharking. It's all-around bad news if new traders can't trade without being taken advantage of.

First, the original owner of View Molten mallard ( Unboxer ) i asked to him " Whichs hats u want for that View finder " Him told me the hong kong kill a watt, terror watt cowl, and 5 earbuds. ill give to him 3 earbuds, and after of 4 days, another 2 earbuds ( can provide proof if needed ), thats its not "shark", i even asked which hats u want, a friend mine told me " U get nice profit there, but its not shark " . Ok, about the hong kong death at dusk. I offered to him ViewFinder molten mallard for the cone, i told him " U have to add " Him offered me Tomislav australium, 3 keys and some items. Him asked for about 30 - 40 buds pure - paypal. The user MVP Again ( nickname ) have a viewfinder molten mallard, in that moment which i offered to hong kong death at dusk, MVP again had a b/o on his view of 50 earbuds. So, i think " I can overpay on the hong kong like 10 buds, but its not pure, so probably him like it " And done, him like the offer, and trade inmediatly, im serious trader, i added people to offer and trade, nothing else.

You said that people had made offers of up to 70 buds on the Viewfinder, so you were either making up C/Os, or misrepresenting the price to the unboxer.

Once again, you invented a C/O of 50 buds, clearly. The Viewfinder had no backpack.tf price, so Brendan did not know the value of the Viewfinder, once again showing how you are exploiting the ignorance of inexperienced traders.

Saw I was mentioned in here as I'm the owner of the other Mallard Viewfinder. I did indeed have a B/O of 70 at one point for the viewfinder, and right now I have it at 50 buds. The person I bought it off of valued it at 50 buds as well.

I don't know Net, but this thread has no point whatsoever. It doesn't appear Net did anything wrong at all, but posting a thread like this leaves a mark on his account. This thread is rude, and unnecessary blendmaster345.

Oh plz, the only thing that's rude and necessary is how Net sharked people so damn hard as seen in this report and you sticking up for obvious sharking. You give the tf2 community a bad name.

Funny people, the best of luck whit this report. i´m innocent, I paid what he wanted, nothing less, nothing more on the view molten.

BS. You paid like 10 buds in cancers for a 50 bud+ unusual and took advantage of a new player (blatant sharking). You sharked it and got caught redhanded and no sort of half-coherent rambling is going to help your case.

Ok, sorry for my bad english. I paid 15 buds pure ( I bought HKC kill a watt for 7 buds, and cowl terror watt for 3 earbuds for him ) I can provide proof if anyone want, and added 5 earbuds. to it, HIM told me that unusuals, so i bought them for him whit my pure. Why i have to pay more, if him dont want more then that ? I get nice deal here.
