Presumably found me on tf2outpost.com selling an unusual hat, a flies ye olde baker boy. He offers paypal for it, and I relayed to him that my interest in real world money is pretty low at the moment, and that I would prefer it if he went and bought the buds with paypal, and then returned to pay the buyout of my hat. I leave for an hour, and return with no response from him. So I just told him I couldn't spend the whole day waiting for a reply, and that I had to go to sleep. Still no reply, His status changes several times, and by morning, he has removed me, without saying anything more than what he said in the first place. I know that it is possible that he actually intended to buy the hat, and maybe some unforeseen circumstances has led to this peculiar observation, which is why I am requesting that he be watched closely. To me however, this situation resembles many before this where a trader tried to scam me by adding me and offering paypal with dubious middlemen. His join date and backpack are indicative of an alternate account, but again, merely hunches.

While suspicious, I cannot say there is enough definitive evidence to say that this was a scam. Thank you for your concern.
