What happened? Description:

Hello, Shardach added me stating that he wanted to purchase my Unusual hat for 16 keys pure on outpost. He said that he would get a Steamrep admin to verify that my hat was not duped. He invited an impersonator of [RG]Bacon [/r/tf2trade] into a group chat and then said for me to give my unusual to the (fake) middleman to have it confirmed to see if it was duped or not. I refused and left the group chat. Shardach then removed me.​

Were both in on the attempted scam.​

Also, the first link in the first screenshot Shardach sent me on steam chat was the reputation of the real [RG]Bacon [/r/tf2trade]. Shardach used that link to help believe that his buddy was the actual community admin by providing fake reputation.

Looks like he changed his steam name, and his accomplice was trade banned: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198062090681

It seems odd how Shardach only has one unconfirmed report against him (mine). I almost wonder if I was his only victim he was trying to scam.

I also wonder if he is still scamming, even after his partner was banned.
