Can this guy report me for online fraud?

Well I made a trade about selling my items for gaming laptops as mine just died, then this guy adds me and informs me that he has one. We discuss for like 4hours and says he shipped it and should arrive in 4days (Friday) it still hasn't come and he is saying I have it but I'm not telling him. I tell him I dont have it and he says he's going to call the police and report me for online fraud unless I give him the items, but I can't unless I get the laptop....Will I get into trouble?

Unless he can prove you've received it, you would not be in trouble. Either way, it's outside the scope of SteamRep.

Ask 'm to provide a tracking number, any package bigger then a letter will have such, especially if worth that much.

From what I've seen, you are not liable to give him the items since you have not recieved the laptop.

If he tries to report you on SR, it will be closed for Steamrep does not mark for trades such as this

indeed, we would not know how to trace such, and if, it would require real life info, which is what we do not want public. And as sending bricks is nothing special nowadays, we cannot verify that you actually got a laptop or not.

Both sides of trades must be traceable for us.
