What happened? Description:

My friend on steam pm'd me warning me that this impersonator that i linked is using my profile picture and my reputation page on his profile offering middleman service which i never offered or did before and he asked this guy in my friend list for prices of GTA V , i will include the chat log with the guy who almost got scammed with screenshots of profile page the impersonator.​

I feel really bad for you man, but unfortunately I am a victim to. This same guy tricked me into trading him Saints Row: Ultimate Franchise Pack($55) for GTA V in order to scam me. However, there's more to that. He said his GTA V wasn't tradable until next month so he said send it as a gift. Now, obviously if I wasn't an idiot I wouldn't have gone first but I looked on his profile and he had 15 pages of +rep, 15 PAGES seriously this is the main reason why I trusted this guy. Then he blocked me -_- Unfortunately, there is no photographic evidence of the chat because when I accidentally closed it, I couldn't view it again because he had blocked me, meaning that he wasn't on my friend's list anymore. Also, he's STILL getting +rep today, it's probably fake +rep from his friends. Hopefully Valve will trade ban this guy or something it's been a month since I reported him and still no reply ;(

For the future, check users on steamrep & google their steamid. Stuff on their profile is completely meaningless and incredibly easy to fake.

@ Oscar_214 If your account was hacked, can supply evidence from Steam Support that your account was investigated and successfully returned to it's original owner?

I Know that this case already closed but, i just received this private message from the accused user through steamrep forums

This isn't his rep page it is mine he was sending link of it to people he is trying to scam.

I have some evidence that proves that I wasn't on the account when these scams occurred. Below is evidence of my account being compromised, the steam guard was disabled and I have proof of the hijacker logging into my account from Ukraine. I have also attached my steam support ticket, with evidence that I appealed to have my account returned and then having the account back in my possession. I have looked at the time-stamps of the said scams, and they match up with my evidence. Any admin or mod who would liked further information may contact me. (I have removed any personal information off the images to protect my account and my friends)
