Report them on Steam directly. Just choose 'Suspected Hijacker or Phisher'

Isnt sharking just lowballing AKA not knowing the price?

Sharking is duping an inexperienced trader into selling at rock-bottom prices.

Sharking specifically has the aspect of tricking someone who is completely inexperienced in trading into a trade, using deception. It is a very hard thing to judge, and unfortunately is nearly impossible to prosecute due to 1) trading being so pervasive and 2) entire chatlogs required, which are often closed before realizing the shark attack.

Hello steamrep . I do not know if this has already been brought up or not but right now there is a way to get proof for gift scams . Im to lazy to remake a fancy post so i'll just copy paste my post from /r/Dota2Trade here also :

Here the guy Phear added me today to warn me that one of my friends [Über-RÜben](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198167099425) has just scammed him and i need to be weary of him . He had no proof and was just crying wolf at that point . So because i am a good person i decided to check first before pointing fingers . Logged on Reborn , checked friend feed and there it was the item that Phear said was scammed out of so i also checked Phear's profile and indeed he did not receive anything in return for his gift .

My point with this is that you can now get proof for scamms via gift .

Hope this is helpful and doesn't get me in trouble for posting it here .

And i did a little more research on this matter . You cannot get this proof if he removes you from his friend list , but if you can find his profile in dota reborn you can still get this proof even if you are not his friend , you can add one of his friends who is online and than use him to get to the scammers profile to get your proof for report .
