What happened? Description:

I was talking to my friend at the time, and then Gigabyte #RoadtoRichess asked me if I wanted to sell my unusual. I said yes I do. I met him on a server and has been on my friends list ever since. So I had trusted him, but when I tried to sell it to him he said, "I want to make sure it isn't duped." I complained about why valve would never delete, duped items again. Yet he persisted for me to make sure it wasn't duped. And so he told me to trade it with a trusted friend, and trade it back. He said he couldn't see it, and we had to do it again. My friend I was talking to, after I was interrupted by him, had gone AFK. I told him this but he wanted him to be in the chat room. Supposedly he had sent him an invite to the chat room, and joined instantaneously. This was most peculiar to me, because I was certain he was AFK. But just ignoring that fact I went on. So we finally traded one last time, and this time it was a him with a separate account, impersonating my friend. Which I do not know how he got in a separate chat with me, without being on my friends list. He seemed like himself to me, nothing different about him, just acting normal as usual. I was almost 100% that was him, and so I traded the unusual to him. Then to find out when I ask "him" to trade it back he didn't and unadded me. This was Gigabyte's different account. I was so concerned what had happened one of my best friends gone against me. Eventually I had figured out it was all Gigabyte's plan to steal from me. Quote on his profile: "

I have put $0.00 into trading and have never unboxed an unusual. Everything I have is from hard work and an understanding of trading." This especially angered me, claiming he works hard to scam others of their items and selling them. I was quite surprised on why he would steal from me, being a friend of mine. What a shame for him to do such a thing.​

The first picture is the profile he had scammed me with the fake profile. From looking at his aliases, he must have scammed others of their items as well, because of the multiple names.
The second picture is showing how he had loured me into the scam.
With his words saying that he had to make sure the item was not duped, and that I had to trade with my friend to check. Which made absolutely no sense to me, although I haven't played TF2 in a while so I do not know what has changed.
( Also, when I said "Wow, you take my friends profile" I Thought he had phished my friend, before finding out it was him, impersonating my friend)

Yeah, I think this problem needs to be dealt with. Multiple have been scammed already, and it needs to stop. We need him account banned, trade banned, anything that could help.

He can go make a new account in an hour. The issue is that people fall for the scam. As long as people fall for it, he will keep doing it. Valve has added dozens of methods to prevent people from falling for the scam - at this point, it's on the users to not be dumb.

I understand that he can make a new account, in just little amounts of time. And yes, I know Valve has done many things to help stop scams, but they can still add. They could, I don't know, like find the accounts through the IP and ban them all, or have some sort of system that detects the latest scams and alerts players (Including this for all games). Also, people do fall for it, but it doesn't mean they are dumb. I haven't played in months, and new players joining the game, won't even know the latest scams. Therefore they will fall for it, and even worse, if he had been a trusted friend, you wouldn't suspect such betrayal. Its not the players fault, and I give credit to Valve for trying, but there has to be a better way to stop this epidemic.
