No sure if this is a waste of time or not but I figured i post this anyway.
Moderating on the tf2hats unusual trade server this guy "James Willous" comes into the server keys up on voice chat and immediately starts on this pitch saying he was a valve employee.
" Hi My names James willous from Valve. im part of a group investigating bad trading. We Have received multiple emails about your server and bad trades that have been happening. is there an admin around that i can speak to"

When i asked him for proof that he was any valve employee he came back and stated " I Live in Washington 2 miles away from valve headquarters" . At this time i checked his profile and his recent names and info, i called him out on it and he promptly left. a few moments later i followed him into another trade server and he was pulling the same "sales" pitch. at that time i had tried to fraps the incident but fraps had crashed. he had than left and changed his name to "noob killer 5000"

I love to give you more proof and or information,

Yea this imposter came on to the server saying he was some "valve employ" so we check he profile nothing matched up then he said "lol" and left.

The trade server that you moderate, if you could grab the chat logs from the server files, we can move this report along. (Granted that it was said within text chat, and not voice chat.)

unfortunately it was all over voice chat. More or less i wanted this on record as i do no have access to the server files.

Without any solid evidence, there isn't much that can be done at the moment.
