I foolishly traded the gift wrap and that's when he went offline. I checked back on his tf2tp account only to find he had began a new trade which included both the Black Rose and the Gift Wrap. I realise this is pretty low level, but not only is that not the point, but he seems to intend to continue this practise.
This is a Gift Wrap Scam.Never Trust Anyone The way They plan to do this. The way he planned to my eyes:You(Rufia)Wanted to look for a black rose. Then You went to TF2OP To look for a Black Rose. Then you pressed on Taste Da Rainbow's post. Then You(Rufia)went to add him. Then You Give him the gift wrap for you to get gifted the Black Rose(Spy Class Melee). But Taste Da Rainbow Removes you from his friend's list and Keeps the gift wrap for himself.
Yeah, looking back I was way too trusting, I'll be more cautious in future. Glad it wasn't something more valuable. Do you have any suggestions as to how to work around this? I could try using a middle man, but I get the impression that those are for more substantial trades.
If you can post your inventory history, showing you giving him the gift wrap, we can move this report along.
