Description: Long story short, guy offers me $80 value IGN Prime subscription for Killing Floor on Steamtrades.com. Sounded shady enough and definitely too good to be true but I wanted to see what it's about.

He says he's rolling in dosh but his daddy's Maestro card doesn't work on Steam and he's not allowed to make a Paypal account. Apparently buying $80 Prime subs for strangers is fine though?

Anyway, I want to see it through so I agree and he streams his desktop to me on Skype and lets me see how he makes the account for me (with credit card info visible, which already is a sure sign of an empty card). Account gets subbed to Prime, everything looks legit, then I actually try redeeming a key with the account and it asks me to login to Prime even though the account says I have a sub. Logging in through Fileplanet to get the game keys doesn't work because the card wasn't billed. I didn't give him my game.

I suppose it's hard to say from the screenshots that he gave me an account that didn't work, but if an admin wants to check it, I can share the account info the guy mentions in the chat.

Just adding a note here that I've read your report and I'm investigating it.

Spoke with both regarding this trade. Card was locked, payment did not go through.
