Do i have to let him go just because i don't have chatlogs ? (

Screenshots of chat shows agreement between involved parties and helps SR staff to determine what happened. It's considered to be a vital evidence in most reports and without it confirming your statement would be very difficult.

would the old chat between me and him in the old trade where we broke different item help any ?

If that chat has no relevance to this report then it very doubtful it will serve any purpose.
