I just sent the money request when I realized he'd scammed, the original negotiation was for him to just send the money.

My problem is that I haven't even been payed once. And once you had received the hat from me you immediately blocked all communications.

Nothing will get deleted from your paypal history, it's not there because you didn't pay. This screenshot sure looks like you blocked me...
