    Appeal for SR CAUTION

Steam profile: 76561198053037273 (Dread Pirate Roberts)

Appeal Plea: I committed some of the listed offenses, but not all of them
Appeal Reason: [Process] Mistake - Admin misunderstood evidence or made a mistake
Victim Repayment: No, I committed no fraud or had no direct victims
Previous Appeals: No, this is my first appeal here

    Alternate Accounts:

    Appeal description:
Alright so my reason for this appeal is because I've recently started trading again so I'd like to get my reputation cleared up.

I've marked my appeal as "I committed some of the listed offenses, but not all of them" because it was the closest suitable descriptor. I did not scam anyone, I was merely being a young immature kid and attempting to troll on a rather serious trade server (Endless Epidemic - though said server no longer exists IIRC). I'm guilty of having changed my steam name to another sirs while active on the server.

When I was 14, or just around having turned 15 I played on the EE trade servers, and was a donator. During the instance in question that branded me a caution, I had been upset my another player on said server and changed my name to his. The brand of an impersonator was silly for 2 reasons, but said sir was really upset by this so he wanted me branded. Reason 1) We were both on microphones talking and I had a (2) by my name. Reason 2) I was an immature kid clearly trying to troll someone, wrong as that may be in itself, it is not deserving of a brand. I had committed no trades under said sirs name nor acquired any sort of personal gains (nor intended to).

I'm hoping based on the fact that I've operated for nearly 5 (maturing) years without any other incidents and the incident in question was not to achieve personal gain or do deliberate damage to a person, I'll be cleared of my caution sign. Kids will be kids and I've put a lot of hours and have a lot of friends on this account. It would be a huge hassle to redo an account just to clear my reputation.

Apparently before you reply I'm aware its a private inventory and I'm in the process of recovering my old email to access the account and make it public.

You have failed to mention any/all alts of yours. See appeal tips #7 for additional info, if you do not disclose all of them, the appeal will be denied. This will be your only/last warning to do so.

You may be correct, I recall having an account prior to this one that is no longer accessible. I don't recall the username or associated with said account, but if you could give me a clue since you seem to know it, I'd be happy to claim it. As far as threatening me with an edit to your post I really don't understand why you'd do that. I'm doing my best to work with you. As far as my dota 2 alt goes, that steam account is now completely public. I don't have an eidetic memory, patience please. upload_2017-10-21_21-37-7.png

You either disclose them or you do not and the appeal will be denied for failure to disclose all alts. Up to you.

Ok so I found one I forgot I had and there is still one I know I used to have, I think it no longer exists, the handle was life4kizz. I'm currently texting my mom because that original account I had was linked to her email since I was too young to have one. That should be the last of my alts if the account isn't completely shutdown. Life4Kizz doesn't link with any existing usernames either but I have emails from steam greeting me with such name. Can screenshot it and add to thread if you'd like. Doing my best, I'm digging up a lot of old accounts and stuff so thank you for the patience.

Ty for actually putting in some effort, it helps in the long run. Now we are back on track.

After a quick review, I will process this appeal in accordance with SOPs "legacy" status per https://forums.steamrep.com/threads/please-read-for-all-sop-tag-appeals.88818/

If you have/had an account at SOP please disclose it. if you know any additional details related to your tagging/banned/caution tag, please note it. I am a little confused how your alt ended up with a banned tag and main(offending account) just a caution, any details will help sort this out.

I'm happy to. Been a long time since I've been interested in trading and I still rely on STEAMREP to judge who I should trust, so it feels awful having a caution by my own name. I'm pretty sure its related to speedhacking since I recall experimenting with 'cheat engine' on one of my accounts when I was younger. I believe that was the account I dug up.

As far as my SOP forum accounts go I know I had one, being 76561198081854200 "JarOfDirt" - linked to my primary steam acc.

To find my oldest of old accounts it'll probably take me tomorrow since my mom switched to hotmail so we have to dig up her old yahoo.

    Thanks!

Speedhacking is not something that a SOP tag would have been issued for, even back then. In addition, that does not fit with what your public profile notes say you were tagged for.

Tho you did not followup as requested, I am processing your appeal as-is.

After a review of the case, the tagging discrepancy mentioned above was a result of an admin attempting to swap the tag over to a different issuing entity, not a result of an additional or second offense that I could determine. Your story with the original admin who handled your case was consistent with what a former EE admin said regarding server rules/policies at the time. By today's standards, we would not issue a tagging for such an offense. The original report was indeed posted at SOP so we do have jurisdiction over the case. As noted above, it was/is processed as a "legacy" offense.

Saying that, you did not fully disclose all your alternate accounts.

Notwithstanding above, I am granting your caution appeal anyhow.
    -Time tagged since original offense.
    -Lack of additional issues since.
    -Policy changes since.
