1. There is no such thing as a "pending" ban or Steam admin. Anyone threatening your account is a scammer trying to scare you. Read more.

    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [None] No items

    Accused profile: 76561198848024076

    Victim profile: 76561198135821092

    What happened? Description:
Got a random comment on one of my public screenshots saying that my account is "associated with the theft of other user’s Steam accounts.", you can see what it says on the screenshot.
Not much happened after that. The interesting part is those links.

    Provide Evidence:
Before everything else, the "bot" that left this comment on my screenshot has it's profile hidden. Here's a link: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198423631219
    View attachment 669978
That comment is referencing 2 things. The accused profile and the "guide".
View attachment 669979 View attachment 669980
The profile looks like your average impersonator - no games, no hours, no items, some fake comments and more links. Some links lead to various parts of valve/steam websites, one of them leads to the aforementioned guide.

    So, the guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1466001242#2661002
    Posted by: https://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198431767561
I'm not even sure if I need to talk about it here. Just open it and see for yourself.
It references 3 "community admins", one of which is the accused profile, two others are seemingly legit.
    Links to all:

    https://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198017654944

After this brief introduction, the guide leads us on to "services" provided by said "administrators". Basically, it describes your typical "item verification" and middleman scams and tells you what to do if you want to get rid of your items like that. This is followed by more malicious instructions and a bunch of misleading filler info. If the guide is taken down by the time you're reading this, I've provided some screenshots.

So, going around random people's screenshots, posting stuff that makes you think you're in trouble and leading you on to get scammed is not right, right?
I will be sure to send a report to steam as well, but until they sort this situation out, this person deserves at least to be marked on steamrep.

The story continues. I've asked Princess Cadance to add me to talk about my "impending ban" in hopes to get more info from them. (By the way, they are now community banned, hooray)
Got a message from the aforementioned "bot" (https://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198311354203), which referred me to yet another "community admin" (https://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198395560113).
What followed is a typical "item verification" scam attempt. Here are the screenshots and chat logs.

    Conversation with the "bot" (https://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198311354203)

    Conversation with Krits Geraga (https://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198395560113)
Extra clarification: I did not give any items to them. No actual scam took place, only scam attempt.
