    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561198827989025

    Victim profile: 76561198040383616

    What happened? Description:
He added me for trade yesterday, then a few hours after i accepted him he texted me saying hi etc. then asked me if i want to trade, i already knew he wants to scam me and just wanted to waste his time, you can tell he has an impersonator profile just by following the links in the description and looking at the URL.
Then after we agreed to trade my Knife for his Knife which is way more expensive, he sent me a link to check the "index and defindex" of my knife.
After following the link and pressing "log in through steam" it takes you to a fake steam website that steals your credentials if you put them in.
    The fraudulent link is:
    Hidden Content:
**Hidden Content: Content of this hidden block can only be seen by members of (usergroups: Administrative, Moderating).**
He also attached this screenshot (it's a safe discord link) to explain what "index and defindex" means: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachme...5197153480015882/received_336209453671252.png

At the end he confesses that he tried to scam me, and i also saw him deleting a comment on his profile from another person saying he's a scammer.

Unfortunately, SteamRep does not accept reports dealing with hijacking/phishing/hacking -Due to current Investigative Policy
    http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/investigative-policy.140101/

This includes anything to do with API key requests, wrong or misspelled URL's and sites requesting logins of any type in attempts to steal your credentials.
These are phishing/hijacking attempts and are not to be reported to SteamRep!

You can report the user to Valve instead
In order to do that, you have to:
    1. Visit the accuseds profile
    2. Click MORE drop-down located at the top right of the page
    3. Choose REPORT VIOLATION
    4. Select the violation, then describe it and provide the evidence
    5. Click SUBMIT REPORT

Click here to view an animated gif that shows how to report a violation.
