What happened? Description:

Somehow the person I'm accusing decided to add me again after scamming me a few years back. I was happy because I thought he might finally send me a refund. Instead, he told me he wanted a picture of him being a mod in my group. He wanted it so bad that he even wanted to pay me for it! Obviously I didn't believe him straight away but I decided to play the game with him. Since he scammed me before (And therefor got banned on Steamrep: https://forums.steamrep.com/threads...counter-strike-global-offensive-items.144013/) and I was very convinced he would try to scam me again I asked him to send the payment first this time.

After a long discussion, he finally agreed. I was surprised, but not much later I saw why. He noticed I wouldn't go make him mod first so he decided to make up a PayPal on-hold story. According to Opsi, the payment was on hold for 3 or 4 days (for no reason). A very strange time-period for PayPal funds to be on hold. I've been using PayPal for a long time but I never heard of hold with this time period. I said it was no problem, but instead of waiting he wanted to be mod directly since he "sent the payment", which is not true. Also, he wasn't able to send me any proof of the transaction and neither any screenshot or email regarding the PayPal hold. Also, I did not receive a single message or email from PayPal telling me there was a payment on hold, which is very strange. I decided to wait a few days and I did not receive the promised payment.

I'm very proud of my Steam group and it's really going with me these years, that's why I'm very careful with it. A striking trend among current scammers is trying to get moderatorship so they can spam-announce fake CSGO websites on large groups like mine. I've been having close contact with Valve directly instead of Steamrep because we're talking about $10000+ USD fraud networks (according to the scammers themselves). These networks are stealing items from Steam users by telling them it will give credit on the website. However, it never does. Since I knew Opsi was having a fake website (see his first report) I knew this was what he would try to do as well. Happily, I can take away all permissions from moderators to have the situation under control, I think Opsi was not aware of that. Opsi is already banned but it's a long time ago. Apparently he hasn't changed his way of doing business and that's why I decided to write this report before anyone else gets scammed. (He's telling people that he's a different person because he bought the rights of the account from a friend).

For as far as Steam let me I uploaded the screenshots from my PC. For the rest of the conversation, I have screenshots from my mobile but since the website doesn't let me I can upload only 8 of the 14 screenshots. To make it easy to read and to be able to put the missing 6 screenshots in this report I set them above each other (called phone_chat_full).
