    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [TF2] Team Fortress 2 Items

    Accused profile: 76561198123267034

    Victim profile: 76561198113619277

    What happened? Description:
I was randomly added my a person that I had not known. They then approached me with the information that I had been falsely reported and was about to be banned. They then asked me to add a "steam admin" so that I could appeal. The "admin" then told me that I needed to give the supposed scammed items to a verification account and that they would return the items once the items had been verified. I checked the steamrep status of the admin, link: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198351558841/ and they were marked as a scammer. The bot that needed my items was not marked as a scammer on steamrep. Link: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198987092786. At this point I knew I was being scammed and decided to cancel the offer. I know the person I'm reporting is not the actual scammer, however I do believe they are a accomplice or possibly an alt alongside the bot account.

Have you reported all 3 accounts to Valve yet? If not do so right now and report back that you did.

Its likely the accused account was hijacked - we shall see if Valve reacts to it in the coming days before I move on the report.
This is a very common thing lately.
