    Scam Report

    Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
    Virtual item type involved: [None] No items

    Accused profile: 76561198855197447

    Victim profile: 76561198095431641

    What happened? Description:
    The guy randomly added me and said that he reported to me. He then said he knew someone that could fix it. He sent me to the guy (which I'm pretty sure was just an alt account) and he showed me that my account was ready to be banned but he could stop it with sending him my trade URL to investigate the transactions he then showed me his valve license so that he can ban people. I called him out and he then showed me his previous ban and I didn't believe him. He then blocked me with both accounts.​

    The guy added me acted as he reported me. Sent me to another profile which just ended up me calling him out and him banning me.​

    Ok I will monitor account to see if Valve reacts to it as being hijacked.
    This is highly common thing lately - any time you get these best to report to Valve and give them a few days to react upon instead.

    Hey, this is just a hunch, but they both possibly be alts for this guy?

    Please don't do that - you have no idea if that user is involved or related in anyway - that would only suggest to others viewing the report that they too are guilty of something when you have no idea.

    Account was community banned and therefore as I figured the account was likely hijacked.
    It's always wise in these cases to just report them to Valve vs here as Valve is the only ones that can handle that.
    So to avoid additional hardship on the true owner I'm archiving report.
