What happened? Description:

Added me, proceeded to offer to buy my knife for buff price, then gave me fake cashrep. I was never actually scammed but it was a (poor) attempt but other people have fallen for it as well after reading more reports on SteamRep.​

Sent me his fake cashrep page after I asked for cashrep: https://steamtraderep.com/user/76561197961658481

I told him I nor my friends had never heard of the website and that I needed to see a CSGORep cashrep thread for verifiable cashrep. He then linked me to his Facebook trading group and his Reddit account to provide further "rep".

After doing some digging on this "steamtraderep" page I noticed some of the other fake accounts have the exact same comments from the same people posted at the same time. It seems you can connect a steam account to a fake rep page without logging into the account.
Both of these pages below have the exact same comments from the same users at the same time. I also linked him other very similar SteamRep reports (using same fake website and same Facebook page as rep) and he told me those were impersonator accounts.

After I confronted him with this and offered the same trade but with a middleman, he blocked me.​
