I had a trade listed on www.tf2outpost.com ( http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/6257683 ) and the scammer in question was interested in buying. His post is near the bottom of the trade chatter. We agreed upon a partial cash payment of $80 along with items. I do not have a screenshot of the actual chat but I have everything else. He posted in my trade stating that he would like to buy for cash and he also left me feedback in my sourceop thread.

He also chargebacked me for a transaction that happened in 17 November.

You/and anyone else scammed should point that he's making a mass scam-dispute.

ced lor, dont forget responding all thoose chargebacks with whatever proof you got and a good explanation with link here.

If you dont have chat, you should at least locate trades from invertory history and send thoose as "proof of shipment"

Also,if everyone who got scammed would take few minutes to make a report to steam support,we'd probably get a trade ban.

He only have 2 earbuds and 0 salvaged crates.Which should be no where near your $370 loss.

My Backpack expanders aren't in his invertory either.

No way he can cover everything he got scammed. He should cancel chargebacks if he really wants to make up for his mistake.

I just got the case analysis report back from paypal and big surprise I lost. Why paypal became the payment of choice for TF2 transactions I'll never know. Yeah guys lets use this system that does not back the transaction of digital or virtual goods. Good f'king idea! Bitcoins is getting bigger and more popular. All we can hope is that it's popularity surpasses that of paypal and we can finally once and for all eliminate chargebacks.

There are at least 2 guys wrote in his profile about sue.You should also go for that if you are in big loss.

They f*** charged me for 20$ for 13.96$ payment.I hope that guy drops dead, that's all i'm saying.A guy in his profile says he was scammed 530$.I can't even imagine his loss right now.

He wrote he was 12 somewhere,i hope his parents beat him to death when sue information comes in.

You can't sue people for that.. ><

And I also lost my case witch left me perplex. I understand that credit card company got the last word on that but what about steam support.

Steam is to blame here imo.. They are the one duping hats like mofo and they are the one freezing accounts.

Well no offense to anyone who lost more than $100 here but this guy was suspect from the first interaction I had with him. I only did the deal because he traded so many items in combination with cash. I'm sorry but doing a large cash transaction with someone who has no rep at all or anyone reputable to back him is your own silly fault.

ced lor: Your perplexity can be easily cleared up by restating paypal's rules that void any of their accountability of the transaction of virtual or digital goods. So basically if you use paypal and get chargedback, you better be able to manifest a fake invoice of some sort to prove delivery and receipt of an item. Otherwise, you are basically hooped 99 times out of 100.

We should all start using bitcoins or another secure form of payment to avoid this kind of bullshit.

Is this common for a blatantly obvious case such as this one to take this long before the scammer in question is marked?

Please take a look at the amount of reports coming in daily before questioning the way of work SR has.
"Bumps" are unneeded, an admin will review your case once he/she gets there.

I due apologize and I understand the volume that you guys have to go through. I think steamrep is a fantastic and unfortunately necessary service considering the rampant amount of scammers out there but I was just noticing reports created weeks after mine who are getting the approval ahead of this one.
