What happened? Description:

I was scammed by StreetMount of my M9 Bayonet Sapphire 0.009 float. He added me when I made my inventory public and said that he would buy the knife off of me for real money. I initially refused because I wasn't ready to sell. But I wanted to give some BTC back to my family or cashed the BTC out and pay them back in cash (as they had chipped in for it when I had first purchased skins to trade up to the Sapphire). So I decided to contact StreetMount again on the 21st of December 2020 expressing my interest in selling it. The trade was made on the 22nd of December 2020. He accepted my sell offer of 8500Euro worth of BTC. He showed me his "reps" on "steamtradereps" (which I now know is a completely fake website that he made with everything identical to the real Steamreps website) with about 500+ thumbs up reps and 0 thumbs down reps. I think my naivety along with me not being well versed in the csgo trading community ultimately made me fall for his scam. I expressed my doubts about going first and he kept on reassuring me saying how "it's a lot of money for you but you will get it". He also expressed how he was apparently making 3-5k per week. Seeing all this now, I found out that there were actually a lot of red flags but I was blinded by the fact that I just wanted to quickly get it over and done with and was scammed as a consequence. I was so distraught and thought that there was nothing I could do to stop this guy. I didn't think to come on here to write a report because it made me think that Steamrep wasn't legit but in actual fact, it was and that SteamTRADErep ISN'T and that I just got confused between the two. I made a trade offer and confirmed it on my phone. After I had sent the trade and he had accepted it, he tried to recommend me a BTC wallet even after telling him that I have one already and giving him the specific address to my BTC wallet for him to put the BTC in before the trade happened so I thought this was quite strange. (ON DISCORD) I then added him on discord not suspecting anything which he went on to suggest a website called "Bitstrikes.com" which I now suspect was another phishing attempt. After which he went on to ask me to exit Steam and log back in because I was appearing "offline" to him and that he "records all his trades". (This happened before too when I said he was appearing offline for me but when it happened this time, I could see him online so he was probably playing tricks) Keeping in mind that the whole time I was asking him if he had sent the BTC to the address to which he kept dodging the question. He only said "yes" to sending the Bitcoins once in the discord chat. After logging back into Steam, I saw that he had deleted me and said on discord asking why I had "deleted" him. But after telling him that HE did it and realizing it was all a scam he deleted me on discord along with its chat too. I fear that I was too late at the end of the day in writing this report as the trade hold would end on the 29th of December 2020 and that he would be trading my knife off to another account. But there is pretty much nothing else I could think of to do. Thank you in advance for your time. Please contact me if there is anything else you need from me.​

I waited because he made me think that Steamrep was not legit when in actual fact Steamrep WAS legit as opposed to his fake SteamTRADErep website he made. I just got confused and left it until this late.

Yes, a big part of that was the fact that I was taking a break and focusing on my studies. I did not play csgo at all for about a year +. Actually came back recently and was no longer as good as I once was on csgo and saw the prices skyrocket so I wanted to repay my family and cash in.

Hello, first of all we change an agreement on discord. We DIDN'T USE bitcoins as payment method. We used a payment on card, because it was more easy option to cash out.
Also he got the money and agreement about payment via card on discord.

You clearly can see on their chat history, that we went on discord

So i have a payment proof, but ofc that matter if we went to discord because we changed a payment method.
We agreed on steam chat on BTC, but on steam chat i asked what do you plan to do with that money, and he wanted to cashout, thats why we used a payment on card.

Incorrect. The final agreement was agreed on Steam chat. You can clearly see that in the screenshot of the Steam chat where he asked if I had plans to cash out and I clearly wrote to keep it in BTC. There was no proof of an alternate agreement on discord because it simply did NOT happen. Furthermore, on the 7th screenshot, you can clearly see that he said "I am ready to send it to a new address".

Yeah, but we used a discord for a future discussion. So we agreed on a visacard payment. You keep tell me that because someone asked you to make that report.

What kind of evidence do you need from me ? As i said we change an agreement to pay via card on discord.
