    Scam Report

Report Type: [Rep Fraud] Impersonation with intent to defraud
Virtual item type involved: [CSGO] Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Items

    Accused profile: 76561199407118805

    Victim profile: 76561198330605074

    What happened? Description:
I was trying to trade my M4A1-S Atomic Alloy FN skin for a knife on Dmarket. I was trying to trade it with the DМаrkеt Bоt # 8065 that was sent and then info on the bot said that it's a year old and I even checked it's date, but after checking the bot's info and so on I subconsicouly opened the trade of the fake account as they both shared the same name and profile on my phone. Accepting the trade thinking I just got myself a cool knife I realized that was not the case. Realizing I got scammed out of a 100 dollars for the first time panic ensued and I quickly rushed over to google on what to do and how to handle the situation. Unfortunately, it seems I will not be getting my item back, but SteamRep was said to be a reliable site for these things, so I might aswell and try to get the scammer banned.

    Provide Evidence:
I unfortunately do not have the intial trade agreement as it closed on Dmarket. If there is any other evidence I am able to send in a way please ask and I will.

    Hello @numark,

looking at your report it seems like that's something SR does not investigate. In your case all we have is evidence of trade occurring without any formal agreement or any additional information.
While I do understand that it's very annoying when losing your skins in such way, but sadly there is not much SteamRep can do either. The only thing I would suggest you to do, is to check your device with antimalware app, as it is possible that malware was present when the trade took place. There are many apps that can do that, but I would personally recommend using MalwareBytes, which was recommended on the forums before.

    Regardless, thank you for reporting.
