Description: I was browsing trades and came across a Scorching Batter's Helm. He stated that it was clean so I thought, ah why not check? So I did, it was clean but turns out he bought it from a scammer alt by the name of: Demedronchick :3 ( http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198029152439 )

I'm wondering if buying something from a scammer is a reason for a SteamRep report? Especially if the one person is already marked as a scammer. Do you know if the hat was scammed in the past? And if he scammed this hat from someone else? If so I would contact the present owner and the old victim and tell them the whole story.

I see people getting cautioned for buying hats from scammers all the time. I got a report sent against me for thinking I bought my hat from a scammer, but I didn't it was a misunderstanding. Some of my friends also got cautioned for purchasing high value hats from Scammers. Also added the current owner but hasnt added me yet.

Right, at least the buyer could spend some time in checking the trader and the item history. Especially if this is very valuable item/hat. But I was not aware of the fact that a buyer can get a caution status just for buying something from a scammer.

Well, Wannobi added me and informed me about this thread, I havent any idea about what was going on. Well, what happened is that i had a Ghosts Phantom that I traded for a Sunbeams Gonzilla + Scorching Batters. This was a normal trade, only unusuals involved, no cash or promo items that can be converted to cash so i dont see how can i get a "caution tag" if i was not helping a scammer to cashout. I really dont know why you are making this report, you are just being childish, almost everyone accidently had traded with a scammer ( yes because sometimes we are in a rush to go out to walk our dog, e.t.c and we dont even think to check steamrep or where do the hats come from).

And finally, as you said in your post(Victim (person who bought item from scammer alt)), I was the victim and not the culprit.
