Steam Features

Today (24.01.12) steam released some new features for both the standard Steam API Desktop Client and for the web .

From now on you will no longer be able to use /me commands and you will be able to "Message" using the steam community website.

I'm not sure but a new web-based Steam Chat client remembers our recent chats.

Install doesn't seem to be working for me Mattie (I use GreaseMonkey and have done for ages), but script install isn't happening.

looks like a useful tool for quick reference,hopefully this will alleviate some time to research one's profile before trading and confirming "said" person to insure a safe trade/purchase ... 2 thumbs up

Yeah I had the surprise todau of this thing reminding me my recent chat activity... finally we will maybe soon be able to keep chat logs <3 <3

Install, only displays script code, it isn't installing in FF

Fixed it, beat it into submission

They are beta testing this stuff with the new chat. I really enjoy the /me feature change.

Woah nice Mattie. It installed successfully on chrome but I couldn't get the pop up in the web chat but some nice update features.

Works fine with FF.

Doubt I will ever use steam chat in a browser however, much easier and faster for me alt+tab.

Hrmm, now if Valve implemented this in-game would be a joy

in game you can use the browser.... but there is no greasemonkey in the steam browser...

because a scammer didn't find out about the changes.

they rename "notepad.exe" to "STEAM Wallet exchanger" and starting it, renaming themselves to something and back and exit the program...
