Description: He added me at random on steam and was trying sell a game called loadout for $49.95. I asked him if it was a beta or retail and he goes and says idk. He gave me the key for me to see if it was and its not. Then in steam chat, wants crowns which is money for the game. Now he's trying for 15K which is 15$ for the game. The game is free-to-play. See chat for the whole script.

Hello, I don't see any scam here, might explain better?

Else I'd have to archive this.

What else do I need to provide?

He added me on steam asking to trade and I said what do you want to trade. He then goes on to stating that he got the 4-5 loadout keys from a pro-gamer friend and his friend is a developer of the game and paid $49.95 for them. He (scammer) calls himself a moderator of the game says to me that it will cost $49.95 for the game but its a free-to-play game and is a beta. He claimed it was a retail game and when asked about the price and free-to-play. He says that I misunderstood and that its a pay-to-play game. Now how could a free-to-play game be with a price tag of $50.00. doesn't make sense. I know that no game that's free-to-play costs that and why would it. When he gave me the key to see it if was retail or beta, (turned out to be beta) and I said brb as I was checking the key and the game, he starts threatening me and saying wtf you scammer, pay me my money. He also tried to report me in for scamming but I'm not paying $50.00 for a free-to-play beta game. (I ran this pass a friend of mine on steam and he said it was a huge scam).

I will try to provide you with anything you need to further look into this. (This is my first trade and I didn't give him $50.00 for the game since its free. Seemed like a scam or could be wrong.

He also didn't want to trade inside of the steam trade window but rather outside of it by email address. Seems a bit odd. He gave me the key through the steam window but didn't want to open trade in steam. I didn't give him my email address since you don't need that to trade games on steam.

Well, unfortunately it's impossible to prove your claims here, also CD key trade is agains the TOS of Steam and it's a security risk for your account.

As such, I'd have to archive this, but it will be a heads up should the accused be reported again.
