A number of months ago this player wished to be my steam friend, so I either added him/her or he/she added me. I was messing around on one of my five idle accounts and so I told them to either friend my main or be willing to help me move items from the idle accounts to my main, as I do not have a way of doing so without a middleman. In the past, trusted steam friends have not been a problem for me, so I was surprised when the second time I asked him/her for help he/she ran off in the middle of trading the items back. I distinctly remember carefully watching the number of items in the final trade and noticing 30 (I believe it was 30) missing including 2 genuine robot chicken hats and a fancy fedora that I had dropped (and that I felt extremely lucky about getting). I tried to get back in contact to find out what had happened, giving him/her the benefit of the doubt for a bit too long. They managed to locate in their friends list 4 of my five idle accounts and unfriend them, later unfriending the final one, rfour44, after I'd tried to speak with him/her through it. I also sent a friend request to one of his friends, http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198068660531, who was helpful but couldn't get through for awhile, finally informing me that they'd had a chat where Stitch remained fairly ambiguous, and then blocked them. I then contacted one of my friends who I believed to be knowledgeable, http://steamcommunity.com/id/PonchoEastwood, who said they were friends with http://steamcommunity.com/id/Tollian who was friends with Stitch, and contact was attempted there. Poncho later told me that Teddy either hadn't gotten through or had been blocked, I don't remember. The screenshots depict the many items we traded, and 3 items he obtained from me as seen on backpack.tf, proof of contact. the Battalion's backup was a gift for helping me the first time, and I don't recall where the targe and eyelander were from, possibly requested from me off of the first time he/she helped me, and sold for a scrap each. It has been over a month since the initial scam, and he/she has since managed to process all of the items one way or another. I should have reported him/her immediately, but it seemed like there may have been technical difficulties and I wished to give stitch the benefit of the doubt for as long as possible. This being my first ever instance of needing to report someone, I am not as prepared as I would have liked to be. Apologies, this isn't exactly a "short" description, but this has been a drawn-out and trying experience for me and all of the important events seem relevant. I also had always thought before actually looking into it that the screenshots of the trade were most important, and only ever took those. As such, I am without any history of original chats or transcripts.

This is all I have as far as text, the most recent chatting I have done with the people who helped me try to contact stitch. Also, Stitch has changed his/her name multiple times since this incident, from [SFM]Scout to Scout to Shade the Heghog and probably a few in between.

Unfortunately, if there is no screenshot of the chat log with the scammer, there is nothing we can do. moving to Archived.
