The scammer in question got me to click on a link, (stupid, I know,) Took control of my computer and my account, and traded my Misty skull fruit shoot, as well as many other things.




This image is the chat log of the scammer and another person he sent the phishing link to. The faded text is the scammer talking. Please forgive the bad language.
This image is another chat log where the scammer tried to send the phishing link. He didn't send the links in steam chat, but posted them from other accounts he's taken control of on tf2OP.
This is just a screenshot from the aftermath of the hijack. My Backpack's value plummeted down around 1100 refined.
The trade history shows that I had the fruit shoot directly before he did. There is only 1 of this hat in the world.
He remarks that he paid buds for this item. Remember how my Backpack value plummeted? I got no buds for this hat. If you were to check his backpack, a lot of the keys and things in his backpack also directly previously belonged to me. I hope this mess is enough proof to get him marked as a scammer.

Hello, if your account was hacked, please submit a ticket to Steam Support, then screenshot your results.

Also, I'm assuming by that Steam chat log screenshot that you have your account back. If so, could you provide a screenshot of your trade history showing that your items were traded away to him (to show that you were hacked and that he lied about buying them off of you)?

I don't have my account back, I was just left logged in on in-browser steam for some reason. Where might I find a record of the trades?

If you're still logged in via browser, you still should be able to go to your inventory history, Go to your inventory, then click view inventory history.

This seemed really sketchy when I saw he had it for sale. I don't know why, but whenever I see someone that has been hi-jacked I always check the history of the items they lost.

Ah, it appears he traded to an alt account first in an attempt to cover his tracks. A really sloppy job though. The alt account is a marked scammer.

I have nothing to do with this, but my theory is that the scammer
1.Hijacked your account
2.Took most of the items
3.Found someone with a bunch of buds and buying unusuals on Outpost
4.Sold the unusual on your account, since you had clean rep, it didn't seem shady to the buyer
5.Pasted some phising links for additional targets
6.Got your acc banned and abandoned your acc after getting his buds

Well so far i checked the history on tf2items and It shows that Ragequit has the hat, but it doesn't show Natman at all on the bottom or that he owned the hat

Could you by any chance link the steamrep profile of @carlosnawaro?

Judging from that inventory screenshot and what Wasaur said, I'm starting to think that Ragequit unknowingly bought your fruit-shoot off of you while you were hijacked. I think the real hijacker is that carlos guy. Are you sure it was Ragequit that sent you that link?

I have no proof that it was ragequit that sent me the link.

Marked scammer for being a Phishing alt account.

More proof, the trade logs say that ragequit innocently paid buds for the unusual to me, and then my account, hijacked, gave the buds to carlos. screenies taken just now show that carlos has no buds at all, (low backpack value at the top right) and ragequit has 6 buds in his.

I hope you guys allow randoms to investigate, because me and a friend have investigated this case for a while.

Our theory is that Natman got hijacked, the hijacker sold General the unusual, and the buds got sent to an alt.

Well, we checked the outpost history of the buds and they went straight to some shady looking guy with a couple trades on outpost selling the buds that were used to buy the unusual. Oddly enough this guy also had carlos (the person the buds got sent straightly to) added on his friends list.

We believe that carlos got the buds and sent them to his Possible main of |lll|llll||l|
We have screenshots of the histories of a couple buds where |lll|llll||l| was right after General in the history.

To sum up the theory,

- Natman got hijacked
- Carlos or |lll|llll||l| sold the unusual to General
- |lll|llll||l| or Carlos, sent the buds to |lll|llll||l|
- |lll|llll||l| began selling them via paypal and RE-PURCHASING BUDS.
- |lll|llll||l| is also friends with countless amounts of marked scammers.

Our final statement is that General hadn't had a clue that the account was hijacked when he bought the unusual, and he is innocent.

I am the "|lll|llll||l|" you're talking about.

To be honest, i do not really know or have any relation with "General Ragequit". I am a reseller of buds for like 4 months already.
- Hence reselling of buds does not even concern to the Unusual that i sold.

I buy at market price and sell at a higher prices.. I also do not bother about sourceop reps of the buyers, as i saw an opportunity for a market.


Also, my account was also hijacked few days ago on 8th April 2013, and my Vintage Buds was gone.

I would not buy buds from scammers as i will check their status on Steamrep.com before purchasing them. So most probably they were just hijacked and i did not know that they were and purchased them.

I am a victim as well.

With this reputation and business opportunity, why would i risk my 170+ cash reps for this if i'm a scammer?
